We celebrated the kickoff of our third annual build with Lake Agassiz Habitat for Humanity last week at our Branch Support Center (corporate office) in Fargo, North Dakota! Our employee-owners and other community partners will be building a home for the Kemper family this summer. The build will begin in our parking lot before traveling to its permanent home in Barnesville, Minnesota. #OwnTogether #BorderStatesGivesBack

We are so incredibly proud of the actions of four employee-owners from our Fargo, North Dakota, branch, which made all the difference when one of their fellow team members experienced a heart attack. Through fast, decisive action and CPR training, Duane Jannson, Warehouse Associate; Dustin Fabre, Inventory Control Coordinator; Tyler Pich, Account Manager; and Jon Becker, Branch Manager, ensured their colleague received life-saving intervention before paramedics arrived on the scene. These employee-owners were honored with Citizens Lifesaving Awards by Sanford Ambulance and are a testament to the importance of learning CPR and living our safety culture at Border States. #OwnTogether

Earlier this week, we celebrated the 40th anniversary of our Employee Stock Ownership Plan (ESOP) with a gathering at our Branch Support Center (corporate office) in Fargo, North Dakota. We were joined by employee-owners from across the country; retirees; three former CEOs — Paul Madson, Tammy Miller and David White; and our current President and CEO, Jason Seger. Our current and former leaders shared stories about the formation of our company's ESOP and the way it has shaped Border States' growth, culture and success over the last four decades. We'll continue the celebrations all year long at our branches nationwide as we look back on 40 great years and look ahead to the next incredible chapter for our company. #OwnTogether
